Midorima x Deredere!Reader - It Might Not Be So Bad Today

To see him again...is what I wish for. Even if it has to be at school, then I will endure through all the challenges thrown at me to see him, hold him, and smile with him.

~ Normal (Third Person) Perspective ~

Going back to Shutoku high school for the second year there would be fun! Seeing all your friends, and most of all - seeing Midorima again! Or, so...that's what (F/n) thought. It was not a good day. (F/n) had checked the weather - it was supposed to be sunny all day. But, behold, rain came out of nowhere, pounding down, and now she was soaking wet.

(F/n) didn't have an umbrella - she was too far from home to go back and get one.

The walk to school was fine...except for that rude car that drove by so fast through a puddle, that it splashed the muddy water all over (F/n). "H-hey!" (F/n) yelled. Sighing, she walked on.

"Could this day get any worse?" (F/n) wondered aloud, while looking up at the sky. Suddenly, the rain started drizzling. "...I should've not jinxed myself."

Continuing the treacherous walk to school without an umbrella, (F/n) wondered if her boyfriend, Midorima, was having any trouble in the rain.

'Of course not...he checks his Oha Asa, and today, he has the best luck. Unlike me. Stuck at 12th, gah!' As (F/n) continued her internal argument, an umbrella appeared over her head. (F/n) stopped in her tracks.

"You'll get sick like that, (F/n)," a familiar voice appeared from behind her. "It isn't smart to walk around without your lucky item. And an umbrella, because it's raining, baka."

(F/n) quickly turned around. Her mouth was gaped in surprise.

"SHIN-CHAN!!!" (F/n) squealed and hugged the tall green-haired teen. "THANK YOU! YOU HAVE SAVED MY LIFE!"

Midorima struggled in her grasp. "H-hey, don't squeeze me so hard 'nodayo." Midorima glared. He had a soft spot for (F/n)...but he wouldn't show his soft spot in public.

Pouting, (F/n) released Midorima from the death grip. "Still tsun tsun...but that's even more adorable!" Almost nothing could stop (F/n)'s bubbly and always-happy personality.

"Hn. I am not tsundere 'nodayo." Midorima was clearly blushing, but he tried to hide it. Oh how (F/n) loved his reactions.

"Yes you are, Shin-chan~ You're blushing~!!!"

"I'm not." Midorima's stare was intense.

"You are." (F/n) tried glaring back, but couldn't stop herself from giggling.

"Not."

"Are."

"Not."

"Are."

"Are."

"Not."

"There. You said I'm not," Midorima concluded with a smirk.

"N-not fair! You used reverse psychology, meanie~!" (F/n) started crying full-on anime tears.

"Baka," Midorima mumbled while he flicked (F/n)'s forehead. "Don't cry, we're almost at school nanodayo."

"Shin-chan..." (F/n) said, while putting on her best pout and puppy dog eyes. "Do you love me?"

Midorima's eyes widened. "D-don't ask such questions, nanodayo! You know the answer."

"Aww...then prove it-desu~!" (F/n) clung on to his arm.

Midorima blushed slightly, while looking away. 'One kiss won't hurt...right?'

After regaining his normal expression, he grabbed (F/n)'s chin and tilted her chin up. The closer he got, the louder (F/n)'s heart beat became. When (F/n)'s and Midorima's lips met, (F/n) felt like she could fly, and almost melted at his touch, but held on to him to make sure it was real.

Unknown to both teens, a certain Hawk-eyed male was spying from the bushes, with a green umbrella over his head.

"Hehehe~ Now I can get Shin-chan to listen to anything I say~!" It was Takao. He was recording the kiss, and he had asked (F/n) to help him get the footage by getting Midorima to kiss her.

"Success! I will totally be their children's godfather!"

~ Back to the Lovely Couple ~

After pulling away, Midorima asked, "...(F/n), did you hear Takao?"

(F/n) realized that Takao finally recorded the needed footage and shook her head.

"N-no, I didn't~ It was probably your imagination, Shin-chan!"

"...hmm...let's just keep walking."

The rain started to clear up within the few minutes, and when they got to school, it was completely clear. The sun was back, and (F/n) instantly became happier. (F/n) started skipping ahead, happy, and with a bounce in every step. Midorima sighed, smiling a bit.

"You know, Shin-chan...even if it's school today...even if my uniform is soaking wet...I..." (F/n) started to trail off. "It might not be so bad today."

(F/n) smiled brightly, and Midorima could feel his heartbeat increasing slightly.

"Yessu~ And my tsun tsun Shin-chan is the best boyfriend in the world-desu~!" (F/n) hugged Midorima, and surprisingly, he hugged back, just a little hesitantly. When they broke apart, they both walked into the school, (F/n) smiling, and Midorima smirking, while holding his lucky item.

"...it actually might not be so bad today."

And it was worth it. Seeing him has made me feel much better and more secure.
